Mindfulness & Connection
Elevate Your Mind, Body & Spirit
NOV, FEB, APR, JUNE 2025
Equestrians will refine their communication and achieve a harmonious balance with their equine partners. Step into this holistic evolution and celebrate the ancient bond between humanity and horse, as you elevate mind, body, and spirit in unison with the horses. Poses with Horses: An aspect of equine yoga is performing yoga poses either near, with, or on a horse. This can include anything from standing or sitting postures done beside the horse to more advanced poses where the practitioner may balance on the horse’s back. The horse acts as a partner and support in these exercises.
Mindfulness and Connection: Equine yoga emphasizes a deep connection and sense of presence with the horse. This can be achieved through yoga postures, breath work, meditation with horses or in mindful petting, grooming, or simply being in the horse’s presence, fostering a bond and understanding between the human and the animal.
Breathwork and Meditation: Breathing exercises and meditation are integral parts of equine yoga. These practices can be performed while riding, standing, or sitting with the horse, helping both the practitioner and the horse to relax and sync their energies

Trip Questions
Where will we be sleeping?
We will be sleeping in a variety of styles of tents along the way, including wall tents and regular 4 man pop up tents. We will have a couple nights in the cabin once we reach the basecamp. Accommodations are shared, unless you request a one man tent.
How do I get there?
Leaving from Whitehorse YT, it is a scenic 4.5 hr. drive south to the border town of Watson Lake. Shuttle buses are available from Whitehorse upon request. From Watson Lake, we hop onto a small float plane for a beautiful 45 minute flight over the Cassiar Mountains.
What kind of food will be eating?
We will be eating traditional boreal cuisine for the most part, using locally sourced meat and veggies. We can accommodate any taste or restrictions. Just because we are out on the trail, doesn’t mean we have to eat like it.
What are the daily activities?
Each day will be a little different as we are travelling and working with Mother Nature. Most days will begin with a lakeside Meditation, followed by a hearty breakfast. We will then take a short break while we digest and then move into our daily Yoga session. There will be some free time before lunch. After lunch it is your choice to do the group activity (hiking, riding, paddle boarding) or maybe just take the afternoon off to chill at your tent or the lake with a good book. Evening comes with dinner, followed by a short restorative yoga session , maybe some evening fishing and then a good nights sleep.
What is the washroom situation?
When we are on the trail, the bush is your washroom, once we get to camp we have outhouse facilities and access to hot water and on demand cedar shower.
What should I bring? You will receive a comprehensive list of recommended items, but you really don’t need much! Hiking boots, bedroll, yoga mat, swimsuit and an adventurous attitude.
