How should I pack?
Once confirmed you will get a detailed list of all the things you should bring. Always a good idea to bring lots of layers and a rain coat. Better to have it and not need it, than vice versa. Any questions just send us a note, we are happy to help.
What if my trip gets cancelled?
If cancelled due to lack of minimum booking requirements you will be fully refunded. If cancelled because of ‘acts of god’ , your credit will get moved to a future date.
We suggest you purchase trip insurance.
What should I know about horses?
Beginners are welcome on all our trips. Everything you need to know will be taught to you. All you need is willingness to learn and ready to ride!
What if I am new to yoga?
All of our yoga classes are slow flow and can be modified to your requirements. We focus on calming the mind and finding stillness. These classes are meant to be welcoming and the purpose is to stretch out your muscles, no matter what your yoga experience is. We believe every body is a yoga body.
Will you send out an itinerary?
Yes, will send out a comprehensive detailed “plan” of our day to day activities .
What about washrooms and showers?
On the “Wild Wellness Getaway” we will have access to a cedar shower with hot water on demand at the base camp. When out on the trail, the only shower option is the lake! Outhouses are situated at all of our main camps and at the Northern Nomad Ranch. There will always be access to hot water and towels to clean up.
Will there be cell service?
You will be out of cell service and away from Wi-Fi for the duration of your trips. We find we can get more out the experience without the distraction of a cell phone. We do have ways and means to contact home or emergency services if need be.
What is the average age of your participants?
We welcome all ages! Teens all the way through to seniors. We have had many older folks on our trips and can accommodate along the way. We can make these trips accessible to almost everyone, just ask.
What if the plane can’t fly due to weather?
This is a common occurrence in the mountains and we must keep a positive attitude. Do not book your flights home on the same day you are supposed to get out of camp. If we have to wait it out, we have to wait it out and that is part of the adventure! Trip insurance may help with these types of delays.
Where will I sleep?
We have a cabin option at the basecamp and wall tent options. All accommodations are shared , unless you prefer a single man tent. While we are travelling with the horses you will stay in a regular tent, sleeping on the ground.
